Here are the most frequently asked questions about our service:

How is Kidcab different from traditional taxis and ride-hailing services ?

The service we offer is a premium service with rigorously selected, child-trained drivers.

Unlike VTC and taxi apps, our service includes full accompaniment from start to finish. Your children are never left alone.

We also assign a dedicated driver for the full school year, not the nearest available driver at the time of the ride. Your driver will arrive early so your child is never waiting alone.

From what age can children use Kidcab ?

Kidcab services are suitable for children aged 3 and over.

Who is Kidcab for ?

The Kidcab service is for anyone needing a vehicle with a driver to transport one or more children. Kidcab is therefore aimed at… individuals, to children with special needs, to schools, to associations and sports clubs, to companies or even to communities. 

Kidcab adapts its offer according to needs.

How do I request a quote ?

To request a quote, simply reply to this form and therefore to provide us with all the information relating to your request so that we can draw up a quote that best matches your needs.

How are Kidcab drivers selected ?

THE drivers we select must hold a transport license, a first aid certificate, a clean criminal record, and insurance for their vehicles and their business.. 

We conduct several interviews to ensure they meet our requirements for a children’s driver.

In addition, we regularly check drivers’ documents to ensure they are up to date.

How far in advance do I need to book ?

Kidcab offers you the possibility to book up to 1 week before the start of your first ride. We no longer offer one-off bookings. All services are regular (minimum 4 days per week for the full school year).

How many children can travel in one vehicle ?

In a Kidcab car, the maximum number of children is 3. But Kidcab also offers 7-seater vans. Depending on the requests, the size of the vehicle varies. 

Is there a minimum number of children per vehicle ?

Kidcab doesn’t have a minimum charge! 

Kidcab’s driver-companions can carry out their ride as long as there is a child in the car.

Are there booster seats for children ?

We adapt our vehicles to your needs. To do this, we ask you in advance for the height and age of your children to determine whether or not booster seats are needed in our vehicle.

Can an adult accompany the child in the vehicle ?

Yes, of course! And the price remains the same regardless of the number of people in the vehicle (within the limits of available spaces) if the pick-up address for all people is the same.

You can therefore add as many passengers as you wish, provided there is still space available in the vehicle.. 

My child left something in the Kidcab vehicle. Can I get it back?

If you have left something in one of our partner vehicles, contact The Kidcab team will contact your driver directly and help you retrieve your item.. 

Our drivers are caring people, and they contact us directly as soon as something has been left in the car.. 

What happens if the journey takes longer than expected ?

The price of your trip is fixed in advance, so it will remain the same even if there is heavy traffic or if your driver takes a longer route than the one recommended by Kidcab.. 

If you request a change to the current journey or if the passenger arrives later than the time specified in the reservation, additional charges may apply.. 

Kidcab is in no way responsible for traffic or the route chosen by the driver. Therefore, the estimated arrival time is not binding on the company but is provided for informational purposes only.. 

Is it possible to cancel a journey ? Are cancellation fees charged ?

When you book a transport service, you are committed for the duration of the contract. Our driver-partners are therefore mobilized to carry out your journey, and refuse any other service.

Therefore, if you cancel a trip, cancellation fees will apply (more information in the General Terms and Conditions attached to the quote at the time of signing the contract).. 

Can I change the pick-up time or address at short notice ?

You can exceptionally request a change to your departure time. We will try to find the most suitable solution for you, but we cannot guarantee that your driver will be available. Indeed, our driver-partners They have a pre-determined schedule, other commitments during the day, and may not be available at other times.. 

Can children eat a snack in the vehicle ?

Yes, children can have snacks in the vehicles. However, our vehicles driver-partners are clean and well-maintained. Therefore, if a child soils the partner driver’s vehicle, you will be charged a flat fee of €200 for the cleaning.
