In 2009, Fée rêvée became an official partner of InterExchange, a U.S. government-accredited organization specializing in international exchange programs. In 2014, InterExchange awarded Fée rêvée the title of “International Cooperator of the Year.”

Whether you’re a host family looking for a little help with day-to-day tasks or a young person seeking a new adventure abroad, Fée rêvée has a program that’s right for you.
Au Pair Program
The Au Pair Program is a cultural exchange program that allows young people aged 18 to 26 to live abroad with a host family. The au pair is provided with room and board by the family and receives a small weekly allowance in exchange for childcare services (between 20 and 45 hours of work per week). Au pair placements last from 8 to 12 months depending on the destination country: England, Ireland, Scotland, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or China.
This program is a great way to fully immerse yourself in a new culture and improve your language skills.
French host families can also welcome au pairs from countries all over the world. This allows the whole family to get some extra help around the house and learn about a different culture. It’s also a great way to help children improve their language skills!
Demi-pair Program
If you like the Au Pair program but would like to combine it with language classes, the Demi-pair program for 18- to 28-year-olds is perfect for you! You’ll attend classes every morning from Monday to Friday at a language school, and in the afternoons, you’ll look after the children and perform some simple household chores at your host family’s home in exchange for room and board. Demi-pair stays last between 8 and 24 weeks depending on the destination country: Ireland, England, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, or Germany.
This program provides host families with valuable support and allows young au pairs to improve their proficiency in the foreign language of their choice through full immersion and language classes.
Work & Study Program
Who hasn’t dreamed of studying in Canada? The Work & Study program lets you earn a degree and gain professional experience in the land of maple syrup. These programs can last 40, 48, or 60 weeks.
The Work & Study program consists of two parts:
- Between 20 and 30 weeks of professional English courses focused on marketing, communication, and business.
- Between 20 and 30 weeks of paid work.
The Work & Study program is an exceptional opportunity to discover Canadian culture and enjoy a unique experience that will look great on your resume.
Tutoring Program
If your family wants to improve their foreign language skills, why not have a tutor come to your home?
A Tutor is a foreign national between the ages of 18 and 77 who wishes to immerse themselves in French culture for a few weeks (between 1 and 3 months). This volunteer must have at least a high school diploma and experience teaching their native language.
In exchange for a private room and full board, the Tutor will be able to spend 15 hours a week interacting with all members of the family. Hosting a Tutor is a great way for you and your children to practice a foreign language and discover a new culture.
Summer Camp Program
Are you only available for a summer adventure? Fée rêvée offers summer camp placements for 18- to 28-year-olds in the U.S. ascamp counselors during the summer months: 9- to 15-week stints between May 15 and September 15. On the agenda: sports, recreation, immersive English language learning, and discovering American culture!
