August 7, 2025

Becoming a driver for children is an increasingly sought-after career goal for professionals, particularly those in the transportation industry who want to be part of a meaningful and humanitarian mission. Being involved in the daily lives of young children and teenagers by driving them to school or their activities is a very rewarding job. Are you interested in becoming a driver for children? Here is all the information you need to know about recruiting our Kidcab partner drivers.

What does the job of a Kidcab driver-partner involve?

For more than six years, our partners have been providing comprehensive door-to-door transportation services tailored to the needs of each family. Whether for individual or group transportation, our services include:

  • Commutes between home(s) and school(s)

  • Trips to extracurricular activities

  • These trips may or may not include stops (for example, when children on the same route have different drop-off addresses).

  • Provision

Each transport service is designed to offer families a reliable and reassuring mobility solution.

What does a traditional journey look like?

The door-to-door support we guarantee to the families who place their trust in us translates into:

  • Our partner driver meets the child at their front door to welcome them and offer them an arm to help them walk, cross the street, and get into the vehicle safely.

  • Careful and attentive installation of the child on board to create a calm and reassuring environment.

  • Accompanying the child to the door of their school once the journey is complete, again with assistance from the trusted driver.

What are the requirements to become a Kidcab partner driver?

We are always delighted to discover new profiles so that we can ensure safe transportation for children, which is an important issue. That is why our partner drivers meet specific criteria and are carefully recruited:

  • Experience in passenger transport (individual, group, or both).

  • Possession of official licenses such as private hire driver or LOTI capacity.

  • A compliant and standard-compliant vehicle: partner drivers must have their own work vehicle, which is insured and complies with current regulations in order to guarantee the comfort and safety of young passengers.

  • Insured company: Our drivers operate a legally established and insured company for professional transportation, guaranteeing their commitment and responsibility.

  • Sensitivity to children's mobility issues: our partner drivers are kind, patient, and good with young people, fully sharing our commitment to our social mission.

What are the working hours of a driver-partner?

At Kidcab, schedules are tailored to each passenger's timetable and the specific needs of families. However, there are several key times for taking children to school and picking them up. To take them to their activities or bring them home, the most frequent schedules are:

  • In the morning between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

  • In the evening between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Time slots that have the advantage of allowing our transportation professionals to efficiently manage their other contracts during the day. All while benefiting from regular, stable, and diverse work.

What is the remuneration for a Kidcab driver-partner?

The remuneration of our Kidcab partner drivers depends on several factors, such as the location of the families we serve, the number of children transported per vehicle, and the frequency and specific characteristics of the journeys.

We do everything we can to help our professionals organize themselves clearly. To enable them to ensure their financial stability, our contracts are scheduled in advance and allocated throughout the school year. In addition, partner drivers are free to accept or decline these contracts. This allows them to adapt their schedules according to their personal and professional priorities.
